We Didn’t Join the AI Race. We Helped Start It.

I’ve been in cybersecurity for a long time. I’ve seen every wave of hype and I’ve learned to separate what’s real from what’s noise. That’s why I only join companies where the product is solid as a rock – or a diamond. (I do love diamonds.) At Black Kite, I’ve found exactly that: a platform not just keeping pace with AI, but actually leading the way.

As CMO, I don’t just feel proud of what we’re building – I feel responsible. Our mission is to improve the health and safety of the entire planet’s cyber ecosystem. That’s not a marketing tagline. It’s a calling. And with every new feature and every new product launch, we get closer to delivering on it.

Black Kite’s AI isn’t window dressing. It’s real, powerful, and deeply embedded across the platform. While others are racing to bolt on flashy features, we’ve been building AI into the core of our product for years. And to prove it, we have a platform that’s evolving as fast as AI itself – helping teams gain efficiencies, expand capabilities, and frankly, improve their work every day.

How AI works in the Black Kite platform:

AI Is Baked Into the Core of Black Kite.

AI activates from the moment a company name is typed into the platform. It builds a digital footprint by mapping domains, subdomains, and IPs, pulling business metadata from trusted sources, and scanning the dark web. It then correlates findings with known vulnerabilities and flags real-world exposure. This process runs instantly, behind the scenes. It’s AI doing what AI does best: delivering immediate value and making sure our customers have accurate, timely, validated, and relevant cyber risk data at their fingertips.

AI Is Transforming TPRM Workflows for Our Customers.

Once a user launches a cyber assessment, AI takes over. It reads and interprets security documentation like SOC 2 reports, ISO 27001 audits, and privacy policies. Then it maps the findings to frameworks such as NIST and GDPR. Can I tell you how handy something like this would have been a decade ago, when I was manually mapping documentation to updated PCI frameworks? This technology changes the game for TPRM professionals. It flips the model: start with automation and AI to get clear answers fast, then turn to questionnaires only when truly needed. It’s faster, better, smarter, stronger.

AI Powers Our Threat Intelligence.

I’m fortunate to have worked with some incredible threat research teams in my career, but the Black Kite Research Group is in a league of its own. The combination of AI and their deep expertise powers our threat monitoring and response. While I won’t pretend to explain the technical mechanics the way they can, I’ll say this: our researchers use AI the same way we all do – to eliminate noise, reduce manual effort, and focus attention on what really matters. That integration of AI and human expertise keeps our customers ahead of threats, not reacting to them.

The Bottom Line: Our AI Is on a Mission

AI at Black Kite is not a trend. It’s how we deliver our mission. Every day, we’re helping security teams reduce manual work, prioritize what matters, and act with clarity. And I feel personally accountable for making sure more people understand that.

If you haven’t looked at Black Kite recently, take another look. The product speaks for itself. The mission drives everything else.
